One of the most intristing business opportunities is online business .
Why the
online business and specially the ecommerce business has gained such a value today’s days can be the explanation of the fact that it offers many advantages while taking not too many risks ,one of them being the posibility of working from home giving you the option of working flexible hours either full time or part time.
In order to have success in your business you need to buy products at very low prices and make profit by adding a dollar amount that can still make the deal good for your customers.
Finding a real good wholesaler that can offer low prices takes time and a lot of reserching because in order to sell the best merchandise you need to buy from a company that provides quality products , fast shipping and superior customer service.

The Whole Truth and Nothing But The

And I’m not saying, “so help me God” because……..

It just kills me when day after day I see all these
advertisements from these BIG name marketers. You know who
they are, as I’m sure you receive their emails, too. Those
big shots, also known as gurus, that claim to be making Sooo
MUCH money with the system, program or software they have
and are willing to generously sell their secret weapon to
you and me. If they are so rich already, why don’t they just
sit back enjoy their time and money? Why don’t they quit
trying to sell their so called fantastic products to others?
Why? Simply because all the money they are talking about is
the money that you and I are so easy to part with, that’s
why. If they stop getting our money, their income stops. Not
to forget to mention that some of the things they offer are
so outrageously priced. I’ve seen one for over $900. Are
they crazy?

I can’t understand who could afford to take that kind of a
gamble in the first place. I’ve had a hard time scraping up
$19.97 for some of the offers I have fallen for. How about
you? But there are people out there who spend any amount of
money, because they are so desperate and willing to do
anything at any cost to find that magical formula that will
finally make them rich. I’ve even heard of people taking out
second mortgages on their houses, only to lose that, too!
You might as well try one roll of the dice at the craps
table or a spin of the roulette wheel in Vegas with your
money. Or buy some lottery tickets. Your odds would probably
be better and at least you’d have a little moment’s worth of
fun that way.

Some of these big guys offer “source code” they claim is
easy to use and can be used to create virtually anything you
might need, but the average person would have no idea how to
use it, even if they bought it. You’d have to hire a
programmer to set it up so you were able to use it, and
programmers don’t come cheap! What a deal, huh?

I’m not trying to say that everyone out there is a crook or
that all the products offered are just a bunch of hype or
bull. There are good things out there, but for every decent
product, there are 20 that aren’t. There are only a handfull
of people who are actually truly making good money on the
Internet successfully, at least that I know of. Do you ever
wonder why that is? Well, I’m going to tell you why and let
you in on another one of the angles they play on us.

Did you ever notice that when you get an email or see an
advertisement with a big boys name attached to it, you’ll
get ads from almost every other big name out there, offering
the same thing? Sure, they each throw in their bonus or
special offers, just to get you to buy from them. Not only
do they make more money, they also get you on their list, so
they can keep selling you more and more down the road. This
is what is commonly called, “in cahoots”. Yep, they each
scratch the other guy’s back and get paid well for their
time and effort, too. They cross sell, which gives them an
advantage. The first offer might not do a thing for you, but
the second or third one you get from a different big name
might. Who’s footing the bill for all this success again?
Like PT Barnum said, “there’s a sucker born every minute”,
and unfortunately that’s the honest truth. Us — you, me and
the rest of the Internet little guys and gals who are
hopeful.

I’m not saying that forming partnerships is a bad thing.
It’s wonderful when you can find other people who you can
work with towards your joint success. But it’s not right
that people are selling garbage to the masses at
unbelievable prices and we are buying it because of the name
attached to it. Isn’t it about time we smartened up? We
actually control the numbers on the Net, so why don’t we
just ban together and finally help one another by putting a
stop to feeding right into the big boys hands, providing
them with all the money for their toys, vacations and fun?
It’s like the high gasoline prices. If people would simply
cut back on their driving just a little bit each day, you
would be amazed how the price of gas would come down in no
time. With the numbers that this country has for vehicles on
the road, if we would all do our part, you would see the
results. No magical formula or anything, just some good ‘ole
fashion common sense.

I’m an average person. I worked in a local factory for 27
years. It was a dead end job with lots of hours and little
pay and, of course, the big boys in the company were the
ones who made the big bucks. Sound familiar? In the real
world, the same thing happens off the Net as well as on the
Internet, so for the most part, there is no difference.
Here’s how the headline should read in all the newspapers
across the country, “Little Guys Makes Big Shots Rich”. What
a shame or should I say, “fool me once, shame on you, fool
me twice, shame on me”. What’s that all about, you ask?
Simply put, it means this. If someone tries to trick you
once, but you catch them in the act, shame on them. They are
caught and fail at fooling you. But, if someone fools you
twice and you fall for it, shame on you for being so
gullible.

Folks, the Internet does offer one of the biggest
opportunities for the masses to create and earn an extra
income. There’s billions of dollars a year being spent on
the Internet now days. It’s growing at an incredible rate
each and every day. Best part of all is that even the little
guy, who may not even have graduated from high school, still
has the opportunity and chance to finally succeed. Amost
anyone can make money online with the right help, guidance,
training and support. It’s a matter of leveling the playing
field, so no one has the chance to fail.

I’m NOT going to give you a BIG bunch of HYPE here or fill you up with false promises, as the big boys do enough of that for all of us already. That’s it in a nutshell.

I hope you have enjoyed this article. I honestly feel that I
have tried to project the truth, the whole truth and nothing
but the truth, at least in my opinion. Please feel free to
pass this along to others and see if they don’t agree. I hope
it helps out others by giving them a little more insight about Internet marketing and what to watch out for and be careful of. I can honestly say that there are a good handful of marketing
gurus out there now a day, but as of this writing, fortunately I’m NOT one of them. Notice I said fortunately I’m NOT one of them. I don’t want to treat people that way. So….here’s to you and your success. As Spock said on the old TV Star Trek show, “Live Long and Prosper” and I do hope you prosper and, of course, live long, too. Take care and bye for now.

Time Management - Some Philosophical and Practical Considerations

In the postmodern and connected life we “manage” our time. While world religions can’t agree whether time is linear, circular or stops altogether at one point, it seems to be a rather pretentious endeavor to establish rules for time management. Also for the faithless time remains an enigma and sometimes difficult to bear. The German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche once said that intelligence is the capability to be alone, and we might as well say - the capability to be alone when time passes by.

We can foster our philosophical understanding of time by using it efficiently in our daily lives dedicated to making money and thus gaining freedom from financial pressures. The single most reason for not realizing our longings in life lies in financial restrictions, hence money is an enabler for independence. When we assume independence from the usual walks of the life of the white collar worker’s 9-6-day in the office, we experience enhanced ease of time. We will grow more silent in our minds, and in silence there are truth and power for an eventually happier life.

Let’s have a look at daily practices for time management and more financial success:

If you organize your working time with reference to the Eisenhower method, you learn to distinguish the important from the urgent and to act accordingly. Ask yourself about every issue how it fits into the below mental diagram:

Important and urgent - get done with it right away.

Important but not urgent - make an entry into your calendar.

Not important but urgent - try to delegate as much as possible and reduce involvement.

Not important and not urgent - trash it.

The Eisenhower method makes sense if we work receiving from and reacting to the environment, i.e. if we are working dependently. This method helps to prioritize work tasks. In order to become financially free we have to go one step further and look at how we should plan and spend effectively.

Let’s have a look at the “time quadrant”. So, once more we have the dimensions urgent and important, but this time we do not look at how they help us prioritize work tasks, but at how to spend our time in first place so we can plan our lives.

Steven Covey also describes this time management matrix in the “the 7 habits of highly effective people” in habit 3 “Put First Things First”.

Urgent and important - fighting daily fires. This is where most people spend much of their time, doing so is a guarantee to remain in the rat race. Try to minimize your time in this quadrant and if possible, delegate.

Not urgent and important - strategic thinking, big picture mode. This is where you see the forest and not only the tree. This is where you want to spend quality time, maximize!

Urgent and not important - urgent to someone else, not important to you. This is the daily situation of unhappily employed people. Minimize!

Not urgent and not important - this is where you waste your time. Like e.g. gossiping on the phone, watching television, surfing the Internet without purpose. Try to minimize!

Even if we plan our time and spend most of our time in strategic thinking mode, we are sometimes overwhelmed by our daily lives. To gain clarity again and physical strength we should retreat once in a while. Eventually peace of mind and happiness will come along with developing your own inherent time making you a fully intrinsically motivated person.

Augustine of Hippo once said “There is only one word written on the eternal watch - now!” - this tells us not to procrastinate. This is also where intuitions come into play to make wise decision, as in the complex world we live in we do not - and in fact should not - always have the time to gather all the information we feel is required to take an informed decision. If we learn to use our intuitions we learn to be close to ourselves.

Finally, we actively need to give our friends, families, leisure and pleasure the same priority as we give to our work.

Applying the simple methods describe above will not only help us become more effective professionals, but also bring us closer to time. Development, it was once said, is the increase of consciousness.

From Entrepreneur to Infopreneur Make Money Selling Info Products

The term “Infopreneur” is a relatively new industry buzz word that is making waves because it opens doors for entrepreneurs to generate new streams of income. Simply put, an infopreneur sells information.

Information products are offered in a variety of formats including books, e-books, special reports, audio formats, videos, workbooks, tips booklets, and virtually any method in which you can deliver information. Many successful entrepreneurs have been doing this for years. Here are some examples:

*Joan Stewart is a publicity expert and operates www.PublicityHound.com. With over 100 special reports and audio recordings of the teleconferences she hosts, Joan is a master infopreneur.

*Dottie Walters is the author of “Speak and Grow Rich” and several other books, and the founder of www.SpeakandGrowRich.com. In addition to her published books, Dottie sells audio programs, subscriptions to “Sharing Ideas,” her magazine for speakers, and weekend-long seminars.

*Dan Poynter is the author of “The Self-Publishing Manual” and other books. This savvy infopreneur has built his enterprise based on his expertise in several areas: publishing, parachuting, serving as an expert witness, and cats. Dan sells dozens of special reports and mailing lists through his website: www.parapublishing.com.

Benefits of Info Products

Aside from the additional revenue stream info products generate, there are numerous hidden benefits. For example, many authors treat their books like a business card, using them to open doors to new business opportunities. A book gives you more credibility and makes you more interesting to the media. With the right spin on your topic, media exposure could bring you a windfall of new business. Just look at any author who has made it onto the Today Show or Oprah. Even an article in a local newspaper can prompt hundreds of readers to buy your book.

As you add more info products to your line, you spin a web of opportunity. Each product may appeal to each customer differently. Some may buy one product, others may buy another product, and ideally, most customers will return to purchase multiple products.

Each product provides the opportunity to reach new markets with your advertising efforts. You automatically create a new reason to send a press release when you announce a new product. You can also promote the new product to your newsletter subscribers and to other businesses that compliment yours. These target marketing opportunities could change with each new product introduced since each could appeal to a different audience.

Giveaways are another fantastic use for info products. For example, you could reward new subscribers to your e-zine by giving away a free e-book. Or you could send your e-book to other business owners and allow them to distribute it for free, provided all of your contact information remains intact. This strategy will ultimately bring you new customers and that all important exposure to your audience.

You can also negotiate rights to resell your content. Paulette Ensign creates bound tips booklets and has sold them by the thousands to businesses who use them as giveaways for their own customers and employees. Not only does she make money selling the reprint rights to the booklets, but she reaches thousands of potential new customers.

What to Write About

Everybody is an expert at something. If you run a successful business, that makes you an expert in your industry. Or perhaps you are an expert at a hobby, sport, or other special skill. Here are some tips for coming up with product ideas:

*Conduct a survey with your customers and ask them what information they need or would like to know.

*Teach people how to do something.

*Create a directory. Do you have a list of 50 or more resources that people in your industry need? Sell it!

*Read books from your field of interest. Is there a book that covers an important piece of information in one chapter that deserves to be expanded upon? Could you write a whole book or a special report about that topic?

*Make a list of potential guests that you can interview and host teleseminars. You could charge for the seminars, or offer them for free and sell the recordings.

*Outline some topics and consider teaching at your local adult learning center or become a professional public speaker. You can also sell recordings of your live presentations.

*Produce a video recording of a demonstration, speech, or technique..

*Take an inventory of the people you know. Can you incorporate them into your projects? People like real-world examples and advice from experts. Interview your peers and include excerpts in your print publications or audio products.

Keys to Info Product Success
In order to convince customers to get out the credit card and buy from you, your products need to meet the following criteria:

*Credibility: Demonstrate any credentials that you have in your field. This is not the time to be shy. Publicize your education, experience, awards, or achievements in the area that you specialize. Strangers are not going to buy from you unless you can demonstrate your ability to deliver on your promises.

*Quality: There are a lot of information products out there and some are downright lousy. Make sure that whatever you produce is of the highest quality. Written documents should be professionally edited. Audio or video programs should also be edited.

*Value: There is a fine balance when determining the price of products. Too many infopreneurs price their products out of the ballpark. Check to see how your competitors are pricing their products. Some price products higher to demonstrate the extreme value of the information they are selling. If you use this strategy, be sure you are delivering information that is worth its weight at checkout.

*Delivery: With electronic products such as e-books and reports, customers who purchase want instant gratification. Though you can manually e-mail electronic products once a sale is completed, it’s best to set up a system to automate the delivery process. An added advantage of automation is that you won’t have to constantly check e-mail for sales notifications and you can actually make money and deliver products while you sleep.

If you mail products, be sure to set up a streamlined process for shipping. Compare shipping options with the U.S. post office (www.usps.gov), United Parcel Service (www.ups.com), and Federal Express (www.FedEx.com).

*Marketing: No business can survive without marketing. You need to let people know you are there so you can entice them into buying from you. A solid marketing plan is essential to success with info products.

*Development: All info products should be up to date. At the same time, new products should be in development and should compliment other products you have available. Think about how McDonald’s structures its business. The fast food chain relies on a staple of products (Big Macs, French fries, Quarter Pounders) and introduces new products throughout the year. Some products are only available for a limited timea chance to test the market viability. The products that sell best are added to the permanent menu.

Marketing

If you’re going to sell info products, you need a way to promote them. The first place to begin is with a website. A website can reach a potential customer base that spans the globe. Your own website allows you to establish your credibility, build a database of site visitors, and promote and sell your products directly.

Strategies for Promoting Info Products

*Host a website that specializes in topics related to your info products. Provide free information as a sample of what you have to offer. If you offer free information that is useful, you can eventually convert many of those free users into real buyers.

*Conduct public speaking engagements (including workshops, seminars, and classes). Seminar speaking experience helps you earn credibility while gaining valuable exposure and experience.

*Hold teleconferences to share information. Ask peers to announce your events in their e-zines or on their website. Even if you aren’t selling your product up front, you are exposing people to your products.

*Distribute a newsletter or e-zine. This is an inexpensive yet valuable way to market to your customers.

*Up-sell and promote additional products when someone makes a purchase. Include a brochure about your other products when you ship an item or offer the buyer a special discount on a related product at the time of purchase.

*Establish yourself as an expert in your field by being seen and heard everywhere. Participate in interviews, publish articles in print and online, and seize every possible opportunity to get your name out there.

*Take advantage of media exposure. Radio is an inexpensive way to reach a lot of people in a short amount of time. Many talk radio programs accept experts through call-in format. If your topic is interesting enough to reach a broad range of listeners, you could go on a radio tour right from the comfort of your own home. Print publicity is also beneficial. Find news angles for your topic and contact newspaper, magazine, and TV reporters.

*Create an affiliate program. Offer other businesses the opportunity to sell your products and pay them a percentage of each sale.

*Swap advertising with websites and e-zines that reach your target market.

As you develop a plan to generate and sell your own info products, take notice of how others are doing it. You may even want to purchase some info products from business owners that you admire so you can evaluate the content. Learn from those who are already successful so you can emulate their success. Soon you could be generating income while you sleep.

What it Means to be Rich

Many people have a false understanding of what it actually means to be rich. If you were to ask a stranger what makes a person rich, he or she would say “A person is rich if they have a lot of money and can buy whatever they want!”. But that isn’t what it means to be rich. This is what it means when a person is rich: The person’s assets create enough cashflow every month, to cover his or her expenses. So basically being rich means that whether you work or not, money will still be flowing into your pockets.

Creating assets is the key to becoming rich. The rich have many different assets, which provide them with a monthly income. The truly rich people are those who don’t work for a paycheck because their assets provide them with a lot cashflow. So if your assets make more than enough money to cover your expenses, you’re rich. Having a large sum of money in your hands may cover your expenses for a while, but it isn’t going to last forever.

When you’re rich, you’re making your money work for you. You send your money off into bonds, stocks, businesses, gold, or real estate, so that it’ll make more money. You don’t really have a job, because you don’t need one. The rich let their money do all the work, so that they don’t have to. But many of the people who became rich weren’t born with a silver spoon in their mouth. It takes hard work and dedication to become rich. We grew up believing that if we don’t get paid by the hour during a job, then we shouldn’t do it. The rich aren’t addicted to an hourly wage. They’ll work for hours, days, months, and years without pay in order to create their assests. Once the assets are created, little or no more work is required, and the cash just flows in.

During high school, we’re taught that you can only make a lot of money by getting a good job. Because of this, many of us become addicted to an hourly wage. When a friend or relative gets a new job, we congratulate them and then ask, “So, how much do you make an hour?”. Once in a while you may ask your boss for a raise, because you feel you work really hard and deserve it. The rich don’t ask, “How much do you make an hour?”, or, “Can I have a raise?” they ask “What’s your monthly cash flow from your assets?”, and “What’s the dividend yield on your favorite income stock?”. Many employees say “I’m going to retire with $700,000.00 in my 401K!”. The rich say “I’m going to retire with $30,000.00 a month coming from my assets”.

So it’s easy to tell when a person is rich or not. If a persons assets produce enough money every month to cover his or her expenses, then that person is rich.

Original Ways to Make Money Fast - Words that Are Worth $200,000

Do you feel that sometimes you read an article like the one you are about to read but you know in your heart you will never act on the knowledge you encounter? Sure it’s amusing, the information makes sense but you know deep down, these ideas will never be something you will even try much less succeed in?

Real Estate is a business. You can make a lot of money fast in real estate. Anybody can. I know you might not completely believe me because if it was true, you would have already done so right? If it was easy you would have picked that money off the ground long ago. You realize on some level that there is something stopping you but you cant put your finger on exactly what that is right?

The reason why you may never be in a position where you will try any of the techniques we have to offer here and in the products on our website is because you know something on an unconscious level. You know yourself and you know how you talk and the words that you use are not going to work in the real estate world. I know this may seem left field, but if you were to sit down and analyze the facts, I am sure that is the conclusion you will come up with.

For example lets turn the situation around. You have an area of “self hood” whether its in an occupation or simply a social group like close friends. It doesn’t matter, what matters is to realize there are words you use among your peers, and these words are “inflected” in a certain way that only the inside group know how to do. The inflection represents a greater truth that must be acknowledged whenever certain words and terms are spoken. (I know this is a little abstract, but I know you understand me)

What this is, is very relevant to wealth production. So let’s turn things around for example to give you a birds eye view. Somebody comes into your environment, your “self hood” and the first thing you notice is that they don’t look right. They are dressed incorrectly for your group. Second they don’t use the terms “you and yours” use. Third, when they do get a term or a sentence right when asking for what they want, they say it the wrong way, their “inflection” is wrong. How do you feel about this person?

First you think he is an outsider. This means they are not worthy of your group and your best attention. You treat them relatively poorly because they don’t fit. They don’t make sense within your sphere of reality.

What if you wanted to change your sphere of reality so you can make money in real estate? The first obvious thing you would do is dress more appropriately, that is a great start and will get you into the door. But if you don’t want to be taken advantage of or even laughed at, you must learn the correct way to ask for things. The correct “handles” for different things and how to ask for them.

A new person to business for example will have a problem with accepting personal or business checks as payment. They will want the certainty of cash very vehmently. They will be unaccustomed to the waiting period that business usually assign’s to checks. Most business is conducted by cheques. IOU’s really. But a new comer would find this concept difficult to grasp and accept. They have rendered a service or handed over an asset only to have to wait 5 business days for a check to clear. This is an example of the kind of culture I am referring to that obviously needs to be adopted.

The words and knowing how to inflect your sentences is paramount in business if you want to get what you want. All you have to do is ask, this is absolutely true, but you must know how to ask. Think of it as a secret hand shake that you must discover and learn. That and dressing right is part of the bigger picture.

My very best to you

How To Make Real Money On Ebay

How many times have you heard this line? Unfortunately there are hundreds of people selling the “best” ways to make a ton of money on eBay. The truth is you can make a lot of money on eBay. There is not some secret formula or one way to do it.

In this article I will offer tips that could help your eBay selling. I believe the single most important thing you can do is to sell something you know. If you have a hobby or job that is related to your items, you would be very knowledgeable about your product and reduce research time.

If you do not have a hobby or job that is related to anything you can sell, do a search with the completed auction listings in the categories that are of interest to you and see how these things are doing. You can also check the Hot List on eBay that will give you a break down of the hot selling items.

Research articles on auction forums or auction information websites. There is a wealth of information out there that is free.
Check out the forums that are on eBay. These can give you information just by reading what other sellers are talking about.

If possible, try to find a niche product. An example of this is Ham Radio. I hold an advanced class amateur radio license. The United States Federal Government issues this. I got out of the hobby and decided to sell my radios. I sold every radio with no problems. Amateur Radio Operators (hams) are a specific group, looking for specific items. This makes selling so much easier.

Once you find the item(s) that are right for you concentrate on customer service. Make sure that all the items you ship are properly protected with bubble wrap or styrofoam spacers. I do not like packing peanuts because they are messy for the customer. Do not use newspaper for packing material. It does not work that well and just looks bad.

Once you have your item packed properly make sure you ship it promptly. Customers will appreciate this and remember you. Communication with the customer is very important. As soon as you can contact your paying customer and let them know exactly when you are sending the item (you should indicate this in your auction.) After you send the item contact them again and tell them it is on the way. Little things like this can give you repeat customers.

So where is the real money? The real money is in supply and demand. If you have something that is in demand it will sell. If you don’t it won’t. I know this is basic business, but it seems a lot of people have lost site of this for the quick, easy buck. Long lasting sales don’t happen over night. Market saturation also plays a big role.

The best approach to make “real money” on eBay breaks down like this: Know your product, research it and its sellers on eBay (how many, how much), use the recourses I listed above. There are reels of information on selling and buying on eBay on auction information websites, make your customers happy (good shipping, communication)

Knowledge is power. This is your greatest tool.

You need to write what people are interested in.

Not “5 Ways To Murder Your Mother-In-Law”. OOP’s that
is not nice of me to think of that :o)

Or “How To Make Dandlelion Wine”. OK, maybe you are
interested in that…:o)

But you get the idea. Write what is a hot topic that

murder, go somewhere else :o)

Don’t know what they are looking for? Ask them. Ask
your friends or family what they would like to know
more about in your subject field. Or if it’s marketing

5 eBay Selling Tips for Newbies

I’m directing this article to those who are just starting their eBay Selling Venture. Whether you’re selling books, DVDs, CDs, collectibles or clothing, all things (with the exception of eBooks and services) need to be mailed. And it’s the postage, handling fees and mailing that seems to cause a great deal of angst among new sellers.

You’ve heard the advice - don’t overcharge for shipping. That is very good advice, indeed, as nothing turns off potential buyers like sellers who gouge you on the shipping costs. It’s also a practice that can rack up bad feedback.

However, I’m going to play Devil’s Advocate here and suggest that you don’t go overboard and give so much of a break on shipping that you’re chipping away at your profits. It’s good to remember the “hidden costs” of shipping: bubble wrap to secure your breakables, tape, shipping envelopes, boxes, etc. Then there’s the gas you put in your car to take all those trips to the post office.

You might think I’m being cheap, but, if you added up all your eBay expenses for the year (as some did for their recent taxes) you might be shocked to see how all the packing materials and gas for your car added up and took a little chunk out of your eBay profits. And, believe me, they do add up.

Some people are even more surprised to find they underestimated the weight of their packages, causing their profits to shrink even further.

How can you be fair to both you and your buyers?

1. Buy a scale. It may sound simple, but purchasing a scale can save you a bundle in shipping. If you’re just eyeballing the weight of the package, you can often times guess too low, and be in for quite a shock when you go to the post office and see the package is going to cost twice what you thought to ship.

2. Know the dimensions of your packaging before listing the item. Some packages cost more to ship because of their dimensions. Knowing the weight alone isn’t enough.

3. Offer the buyer a variety of shipping methods. Some prefer speedy delivery with Express mailing, while some prefer to save money with parcel post even though the wait is longer. It’s always a good idea when using parcel post or other slower ground shipping to alert the buyer by email that it can take anywhere from 8 to 10 days.

4. Save yourself money whenever possible by using boxes that have been used. Most stores are more than happy to let you rummage through their old boxes and take some home with you. But, do remember to choose boxes that are presentable, secure and strong enough for your items. And, if you have breakables, don’t skimp on the bubble wrap.

5. Give yourself a small handling fee that will cover your expenses. Some sellers add on an additional $1 or $2 to the shipping fees for their handling fees (depending on the cost of the item and how much packaging you have to use). I really advocate doing this because your expenses will add up if you do a lot of selling on eBay. Be sure to be upfront with your buyers that you have a small handling fee so they can’t complain about it later.

Being fair to both yourself and your buyer will keep you both happy, and keep more of your profit in your pocket.

You Can Make Money from Embroidery

Who wouldn’t want to be able to make money from doing something they love, like a hobby or a craft? The truth is that many people have taken their passion and turned it into profit. No matter whether it is wood crafts, painting or ceramics, arts and crafts are extremely popular, and you can make money from them if you produce high-quality and unique pieces of work.

Take embroidery for instance. This artful sewing has been around for as long as man has been able to ply a needle and thread. Identified by intricate and patterned stitching, embroidery is experiencing newfound popularity in our day and age.

The most common form of embroidery is the embellishment of linens including draperies, tapestries, tablecloths, pillows, seat covers and bedspreads. These beautiful items are used to create interest in home d

Can You Make Money From a Web Business

Can you make money on the internet? Is the internet really making people rich? Well, like most stories, it isn’t all true but there is a basis of truth to it. You probably aren’t going to be a millionaire tomorrow, but I can show you how to start a web business with virtually no money, that will provide you with a nice stream of extra income. How much money can you make? With very little effort you won’t have to worry about your car payment or rent/mortgage anymore. With a little creativity and effort you will be able to quit your job.

How is this possible? The internet has opened the door for individuals to compete in the advertising industry. I know, I was a skeptic too. I tried the scams in the past, “Stuff envelopes for $1000 a week guaranteed”, the chain letters, the email beta tests, and the list goes on. None of them ever worked. But hey, it didn’t cost anything but a little time and pride, right? After losing enough pride and suffering enough disappointment, I gave up on my pipe dream. I accepted the fact that I was going to have to go to work every day, to a job I hated, until I was too old to care. That all changed when I started working in the customer service department for an internet retailer.

I Watched A Man Make $200,000 From Home

Did you read that headline? Let me repeat, I watched a man make $200,000 with nothing more than a computer in his living room. My employer was paying this guy $200,000 to sit at home and play on his computer! I couldn’t even get them to give me a raise and they were paying this guy $200,000 and he didn’t even have to come to work! In fact he was making them so much money that they built him his own internet store. What was his big secret? How could he get paid not to come to work? No, he was not blackmailing them.

With a little research I found out that he had joined our affiliate program. He was getting a commission on every sale from people that he referred to our stores. He had a website, not even a very nice website, that referred people to our stores and my employer was giving him money for every sale that he generated. He had discovered the secret that the internet had opened the door for individual people to compete with the big guys in the advertising industry. He was making money doing what we all do everyday. You don’t believe me? How many times have you eaten at a restaurant and liked it so much that you told a couple of you friends they had to go eat there. Has someone ever complimented you on a shirt you were wearing so you told them where you bought it? Ever get ripped off at a store and told everyone that they shouldn’t shop there? His big secret was that he was getting paid to tell people where he shops online. It turns out that it isn’t hard to get companies to pay you for this. Do You Want to Just Survive or Thrive (Part 2)

“Fighting to pay the bills is hardly worth it fight for a better life!”

What do we really want?

This question is one that has pretty much founded the self help industry and will sustain it for eternity. The problem is that it is often asked without the commitment of action with accountability FIRST!!!

It’s the reason why people go to seminars and read books; coming away to say that it was all “very interesting”. Well I’m sorry but “interesting” won’t bring you the lifestyle you aspire to. You need capacity!

I knew that with all the fighting that myself and my family had done of trying to save money was an experience that formed the basis of my new and exciting fight for my freedom!

What I discovered was that there wasn’t any difference at all between the people who were making money and the people who were saving money. They are all just people when it comes to the crunch.

By exploring even further, I also found out that the people making the money are always the ones that win the fight. They are the ones that win the game every time. This realization brought home the reality that there was never going to be a chance to win against the “money makers”.

Why?

Because they set the rules and they have a cause worth fighting for. As a result of them winning the game, they get what they want for their family and friends.

And they don’t give in - ever!

Being that we had achieved great success on the “saving money train”, my wife and I had shown that if times ever got tough in a financial sense, we would be OK, as we had the capacity to do whatever it takes to protect our special family time together.

For me, saving money became boring.

So my new fight that was about what I wanted for my family would be geared towards making money, not saving it! This fight was clearly a battle that was worth the effort because the big outcome would be an abundance of family living.

And that’s what is important to me. All the material nonsense that comes with having too much money would no doubt invade our space but at least there would be some concrete real life perspective that would ensure we never got carried away.

To me this is a sustainable way to live as material stuff can always be taken away, but the stuff in your heart can’t be stolen.

How To Become Rich And Get Dumped

No kidding! It shows that I’m a bachelor.

Most people buy residential real estate based purely on emotion, without ever really thinking rationally about why they are doing what they are doing. For example, I have a friend who lives in a suburban community distant three hours by car from Downtown Vancouver, where I live. As my pal also works in Downtown, he has to travel six hours each and every day of the working week - that’s 30 hours per week just to come here to earn a living and go back home. That’s an awful lot of driving. When I asked why he bought his home so far away, his answer was simple: that’s where his mother-in-law lives, and the wife wanted to be close to her.

The trouble is, in that location the home is a tough sell and will appreciate in value slowly, if at all. Heck, I’m not even sure it’s Canada …. Meanwhile, six hours a day on the road is enough to eat up a normal car every three years and run up a mountain of gas and maintenance bills. That real estate decision may make the wife happy, but it is hardly logical. The point is that when you are dealing with the single most expensive asset of your life (your house, that is … not your wife), representing the bulk of most people’s net worth, then emotion has to be relegated to the back seat.

The most valuable feature of real estate, by far, is where it is located. The old adage of ‘location, location, location’ as being the three cardinal rules of housing is true today as it has ever been. Real estate is, afterall, an unmovable commodity and it is worth what it is worth mainly because of where it is at. Therefore, location is the very first thing to take note of, not the condition of the structure that sits on that apron of land. In ultimate analysis, whatever may be wrong with the house can always be fixed, rebuilt, repaired, restored or replaced. However, a bad or questionable location can never be changed - unless one buys the entire subsection of the city.

This is the reason why one should buy the worst house on the best street, and not the other way around.

In every city and town there are invariably neighbourhoods or areas that are ‘in demand’, and they are in demand for a reason - either they sit on a lake or river frontage, command views of the city skyline, of a ravine or the ocean, or have peaceful, leafy streets. Some areas are close to schools or public transportation routes, or are unique in terms of topography, history or population variety. So the savvy Buyer will try to get into these areas whenever he can, and then will sleep well knowing that he has taken care already of the resale value of the home he has just finished purchasing.

When shopping for a home, it is always best to avoid houses that sit near major traffic thoroughfares because of reduced privacy and more traffic; or houses sited next to schools or retail stores, as they will always sell at a discount compared with the ones in the middle of a quiet residential block. And forget about buying anything that is near a police, ambulance or fire station, or a hospital or factory. Furthermore, it pays to avoid neighbourhoods that are in transition, since tree-filled areas will always and invariably be worth more than new, suburban streets with twigs planted along the boulevards.

But since what one buys will always reflect what one spends at any given time, to buy the worst house on the best street is the sure way to maximize capital gains at the time of resale, simply by fixing it up a little. It sure pays to live where everybody wants to live and make a little money in the process. And if you get dumped by your loved one in the meanwhile, look at it on the bright side - you can also enjoy your new neighbourhood in peace and tranquility.

Defining the Marketing Niche

Ever wonder why some business seem to be more successful than others are? Why do some business flourish even in tough economical times?

The answer is quite simple.

Successful business owners define and target specific niches to sell. This is easily the best way for the online small business owners to compete … and profit even in tough economical times.

How they define the niches?

The answer is quite simple as well. Successful owners succeed in making the close relation between their business and customers needs. They pay a special attention to identify motivate and rewarding those sales channel that works on customer relationship. More than that, these owners recognize that a multiple channels-to-market sales strategy provides the best coverage and get market leadership.

How they define the niches then?

Let’s recap:

  1. Identify customers needs, that means to see what specifically needs do the current customers have in common
  2. Motivate customers explaining that the product covers the needs. Develop your own product/service, or find existing ones, that satisfy the needs you’ve identified from your research.
  3. Reward customers offering a good price, a permanent support and assistance. Create your unique selling proposition, website content, and advertising campaigns. Stay close to your customers answering questions and providing available support.

To succeed in all above, you need a plan. My suggestion is to create a micro-plan for the very beginning, because that way is easy to see how much this plan is just plain copying the leader or the extending present product ideas. Try to be innovative, this is the way to big success.

Make Money on eBay - By Saving on eBay Fees

This is such an important topic and the majority of sellers don’t control their ebay fees. Are you completely aware about the costs involved when you are selling on eBay?

Have a look at John:

John has bought a nice antique vase on a garage sale for $55 US. What a bargain, since he knows that on eBay he could sell it for a big profit. He makes 3 beautiful photos and John wants to use one of photos as a gallery picture, because he knows that without a gallery photo it is hard to sell your items.

So, he starts to create his auction listings.

The auction starting price should be $55, to break even. John also ads a ‘Buy it Now’ price for $110 and an additional subtitle. As John is not satisfied with the first look he decides to add the ‘bold’ feature as well and finally he submits his auction. This auction looks perfect now, but does John really know how much he paid on eBay fees just for this listing.

Let’s do the math:

Insertion fee: $2.40
Buy Now Price: $0.25
Subtitle: $0.50
Bold: $1.00
Gallery Photo: $0.35
2 Extra Pictures: $0.30

John finally sells his vase for $98 as the highest bidder so John pays additionally:

Final value Fee: $1.31 (5.25% for the first $25)
and: $2.19 (3% of $50 ($75-25$)

= $8.30 just on eBay fees!

But this ‘fee journey’ is not over yet…John receives payment from the bidder of $108 ($98 for the item and $10 for shipping) The bidders pays via PayPal and John has to pay PayPal fees of 2.9% + $0.30 US = $3.13 +$0.30 = $3.43.

In total John has paid $11.73 just on fees. He has already paid $55 for the vase plus the $11.73 in total for listing = $66.73. And almost forgot! Yes, John needs to pay the $10 for shipping. Therefore, total costs are:

Buy merchandise: $ 55.00
eBay fees: $ 8.30
Paypal Fees: $ 3.43
Shipping: $ 10.00

Total Costs: $ 76.73
Received: $108.00
Profit: $ 31.27

Well, John has made a profit. That’s pretty good anyway, but I think John could save massively on his ebay fees. Here some tips how to save on eBay fees:

John could easily host his own pictures through his internet service provider, through some online pictures services. In fact he could add unlimited ebay pictures as he wants without paying additional cents. John would have saved $0.30 on this additional picture hosting feature. Then, John could have easily removed some special features like ‘bold’ and ’subtitle’. John could have come up with a more descriptive and detailed main title with some snappy keywords to attract more buyers. John could have also started with a lower price to decrease the insertion fees, yes even a a starting price of $1 No reserve’. The positive effect with these $1 starting auction is two fold; Firstly, you save on insertion fee and secondly more buyers place a bid if the starting bid is low. This increases dramatically the number of bids and this attracts even more buyers because they think ‘When so many people place a bid, then this item must be really cool’ and they bid as well.

In summary: Keep your eBay fees in mind and don’t guess how much your listing will cost. Sit down and do the math before you launch your auction listing. It’s worth and maybe saves some surprises at the end of the month when the monthly bill from eBay is waiting in your mailbox.

Make Money Blogging Using These Nine Powerful Strategies

The question “How to make money blogging” sits high on every blogger’s mind. In fact I received many questions on “How to make money blogging” when I conducted my first webcast to answer my subscribers’ most pressing questions on Blogs and Rss.

You can make money Blogging in a number of ways, and in this article I share with you up to nine strategies in which you can make money blogging.

1. Make Money Blogging by Selling Advertising Space

Before the advent of Blogs, we have e-zines and selling advertising space on ezines was a popular way to earn extra money. If you run your own Blog, you can let others advertise in your Blogs with banner ads, solo ads, sponsor ads, classifieds and so on.

Now that we have Blogs, you can repeat the same business model that e-zine publishers do, that of selling advertising space.

One popular advertising company that helps Bloggers look for advertisers is Blogads (www.Blogads.com).

Besides placing advertisers ads on your Blog, you can also make money Blogging by placing Google Adsense into your Blog.

In my “Marketing Rampage with Blogs and RSS” Videos, I show you how you can customize your Blog template to include the Google Adsense into your Blog template so that you can make money blogging.

2. Make Money Blogging by providing technical services such as Blog hosting or setting up Blog

You can also earn money blogging by providing technical services such as helping people to set up their Blogs or providing your own Blog hosting service.

One example of this is www.typepad.com . This is a Blog hosting service provider that charges a monthly fee. Typepad lets you create your Blog and they will host your Blog for you, and provide you with a number of Blog features.

3. Make Money Blogging by setttin up joint venture marketing

Joint Venture marketing is a powerful marketing strategy employed by many top online marketers.

Basically how joint venture works is this: You promote person B’s products to your subscriber and customer list, and you get a cut from whatever sale that follows from this promotion.

You can apply the principle of joint venture marketing to Blogs as well. If you have a substantial readership to your Blog, you can also promote or endorse certain products to your Blog readers and this way, and split the profits from the sales generated. This is another way to make money blogging.

4. Make Money Blogging from using the Membership model

Over time, if your blog has lots of postings and provide good quality content, you can consider turning it into a membership site and charge access for it, again giving you another avenu

5. Make Money Blogging by turning your products into

Another way in which you can make money blogging is to repackage your Blog contents into an e-book or an audio product and sell it. For example, if you run your own Podcasting show or an ‘online radio show’, you can easily compile your podcast recordings into a CD compiliation and sell it.

6. Earn Money Blogging by Swapping blogs

You’ve heard of ad swapping when it comes to e-zine publishing, where publishers publish each other’s ads in their own e-zines. This way, you save on adveritising costs.

You can repeat the same model to Blogs, as swap ads on Blogs as well. So instead of paying up front, you get to save, which means more money for you to spend!

7. Earn Money Blogging by turning your Blog content into RSS feeds and sell it as premium feeds

Your blog contents can be turned into an RSS feed. If the content is good, you can look for web businesses that are looking for good content for related topics and sell their feed to them.

8. Make Money Blogging by well, asking!

Hey, who’s stopping you from putting a PayPal donation jar or button on your Blog? After all, there are lots of generous people out there you know.

9. Make Money Blogging as an Affiliate Marketer

Another way you can make money blogging is by promoting other people’s products on your Blog. This is also known as affiliate marketing.

In affiliate marketing, you get paid a commission when someone clicks on your affiliate link and makes a purchase. Depending on the subject of your Blog, you can recommend products that solve people’s problems.

For example, I had a subscriber who asked me how she can blog about cats and make money from blogging about cats.

I shared with her that firstly, perhaps she might want to go niche instead of targeting the broad category of “cats”, and using the example of a Persian cat, which is a niche by itself, she can start a blog on Persian cats, providing valuable information as well as recommended solutions and products to the upkeep and maintenance of Persian cats.
