The Whole Truth and Nothing But The

And I’m not saying, “so help me God” because……..

It just kills me when day after day I see all these
advertisements from these BIG name marketers. You know who
they are, as I’m sure you receive their emails, too. Those
big shots, also known as gurus, that claim to be making Sooo
MUCH money with the system, program or software they have
and are willing to generously sell their secret weapon to
you and me. If they are so rich already, why don’t they just
sit back enjoy their time and money? Why don’t they quit
trying to sell their so called fantastic products to others?
Why? Simply because all the money they are talking about is
the money that you and I are so easy to part with, that’s
why. If they stop getting our money, their income stops. Not
to forget to mention that some of the things they offer are
so outrageously priced. I’ve seen one for over $900. Are
they crazy?

I can’t understand who could afford to take that kind of a
gamble in the first place. I’ve had a hard time scraping up
$19.97 for some of the offers I have fallen for. How about
you? But there are people out there who spend any amount of
money, because they are so desperate and willing to do
anything at any cost to find that magical formula that will
finally make them rich. I’ve even heard of people taking out
second mortgages on their houses, only to lose that, too!
You might as well try one roll of the dice at the craps
table or a spin of the roulette wheel in Vegas with your
money. Or buy some lottery tickets. Your odds would probably
be better and at least you’d have a little moment’s worth of
fun that way.

Some of these big guys offer “source code” they claim is
easy to use and can be used to create virtually anything you
might need, but the average person would have no idea how to
use it, even if they bought it. You’d have to hire a
programmer to set it up so you were able to use it, and
programmers don’t come cheap! What a deal, huh?

I’m not trying to say that everyone out there is a crook or
that all the products offered are just a bunch of hype or
bull. There are good things out there, but for every decent
product, there are 20 that aren’t. There are only a handfull
of people who are actually truly making good money on the
Internet successfully, at least that I know of. Do you ever
wonder why that is? Well, I’m going to tell you why and let
you in on another one of the angles they play on us.

Did you ever notice that when you get an email or see an
advertisement with a big boys name attached to it, you’ll
get ads from almost every other big name out there, offering
the same thing? Sure, they each throw in their bonus or
special offers, just to get you to buy from them. Not only
do they make more money, they also get you on their list, so
they can keep selling you more and more down the road. This
is what is commonly called, “in cahoots”. Yep, they each
scratch the other guy’s back and get paid well for their
time and effort, too. They cross sell, which gives them an
advantage. The first offer might not do a thing for you, but
the second or third one you get from a different big name
might. Who’s footing the bill for all this success again?
Like PT Barnum said, “there’s a sucker born every minute”,
and unfortunately that’s the honest truth. Us — you, me and
the rest of the Internet little guys and gals who are
hopeful.

I’m not saying that forming partnerships is a bad thing.
It’s wonderful when you can find other people who you can
work with towards your joint success. But it’s not right
that people are selling garbage to the masses at
unbelievable prices and we are buying it because of the name
attached to it. Isn’t it about time we smartened up? We
actually control the numbers on the Net, so why don’t we
just ban together and finally help one another by putting a
stop to feeding right into the big boys hands, providing
them with all the money for their toys, vacations and fun?
It’s like the high gasoline prices. If people would simply
cut back on their driving just a little bit each day, you
would be amazed how the price of gas would come down in no
time. With the numbers that this country has for vehicles on
the road, if we would all do our part, you would see the
results. No magical formula or anything, just some good ‘ole
fashion common sense.

I’m an average person. I worked in a local factory for 27
years. It was a dead end job with lots of hours and little
pay and, of course, the big boys in the company were the
ones who made the big bucks. Sound familiar? In the real
world, the same thing happens off the Net as well as on the
Internet, so for the most part, there is no difference.
Here’s how the headline should read in all the newspapers
across the country, “Little Guys Makes Big Shots Rich”. What
a shame or should I say, “fool me once, shame on you, fool
me twice, shame on me”. What’s that all about, you ask?
Simply put, it means this. If someone tries to trick you
once, but you catch them in the act, shame on them. They are
caught and fail at fooling you. But, if someone fools you
twice and you fall for it, shame on you for being so
gullible.

Folks, the Internet does offer one of the biggest
opportunities for the masses to create and earn an extra
income. There’s billions of dollars a year being spent on
the Internet now days. It’s growing at an incredible rate
each and every day. Best part of all is that even the little
guy, who may not even have graduated from high school, still
has the opportunity and chance to finally succeed. Amost
anyone can make money online with the right help, guidance,
training and support. It’s a matter of leveling the playing
field, so no one has the chance to fail.

I’m NOT going to give you a BIG bunch of HYPE here or fill you up with false promises, as the big boys do enough of that for all of us already. That’s it in a nutshell.

I hope you have enjoyed this article. I honestly feel that I
have tried to project the truth, the whole truth and nothing
but the truth, at least in my opinion. Please feel free to
pass this along to others and see if they don’t agree. I hope
it helps out others by giving them a little more insight about Internet marketing and what to watch out for and be careful of. I can honestly say that there are a good handful of marketing
gurus out there now a day, but as of this writing, fortunately I’m NOT one of them. Notice I said fortunately I’m NOT one of them. I don’t want to treat people that way. So….here’s to you and your success. As Spock said on the old TV Star Trek show, “Live Long and Prosper” and I do hope you prosper and, of course, live long, too. Take care and bye for now.

How To Create A Massive Contact List Overnight!

Creating an opt in list of subscribers is critical to online success. It isn’t that hard if you know a couple of these
tips but most important of all is to just to do it! The biggest reason for affiliates and others seeking web income is lack of ACTION!

OK, so you’re buring with desire to get started. Here’s what to do to start building your money-producing opt in list.

I have found that I build a list very fast with a quality report, e-course or newsletter.

So you say, “but I’m not a writer?”

You need to write what people are interested in.

Not “5 Ways To Murder Your Mother-In-Law”. OOP’s that
is not nice of me to think of that :o)

Or “How To Make Dandlelion Wine”. OK, maybe you are
interested in that…:o)

But you get the idea. Write what is a hot topic that
everyone is talking about or asking about. If it’s about
murder, go somewhere else :o)

Don’t know what they are looking for? Ask them. Ask
your friends or family what they would like to know
more about in your subject field. Or if it’s marketing
put up a survey or poll form on your website or send
emails to your contacts.

Browse hot forums and see what everyone is talking
about. The messages with the most ‘views’ or ‘posts’
are the hot topics.

Here are a few report ideas:

1. Tips/Ways

This is the easiest to create as all you need are a
handful of themed tips with 3-7 sentence explanations.
Presto! You have a free report!

2. Tutorial (step by step)

This is probably the report most people want. Find a
hot topic and provide step by step tutorial on solving
a problem or do something and you will become very
popular…overnight!

3. Resources

This is the EASIEST of all free reports to write. Heck
my granddaughter, Kylie, could probably write one :o)

Might take some time doing research but it’s super
easy.

“10 Ways To Link You Website”
“8 Tools Every Webmaster Should Have In Their Toolbox”

You get the idea.

4. Interviews

This is another easy one because someone else does all the
writing for you!

Develop a list of ‘burning questions to ask the
‘expert’.

Send the expert your list with a good reason to answer
them. At least a nice bio with a link to their website
and the right to distribute the report in anyway they
want.

What is probably the most important step in creating
your free report? The HEADLINE! As with ads, unless
you capture the attention of the reader in the first
1-2 seconds you won’t have many subscribers.

Here are a few headlines:

“7 Quick Tips To Overnight Profits”

“7 Quick Tips”

“7 Quick Tips I Made $650 With”

Which one would you pick? The first? In my humble
opinion it would be the last. It has two eye catching
factors. 7 and $650. People will know its not a long
drawn-out report but 7 quickie type tips and everyone
would like to make $650 by knowing these tips.

Bottom line. Remember the old worn out by don’t every
forget the famous radio station, WIIFM or WHAT’S IN IT
FOR ME. Keep that in mind every time you write a
headline and you will see 100’s or even 1,000’s
subscribing to your free report.

How Blogs Can Make You Money

So, What is a “Money Making Blog”?

OK, that’s when someone stops me and says,”What’s a Blog?”

So, Lets start at the beginning!

Blog Basics

A blog is sometimes called web log or weblog. It is a type if online journal or diary, often including personal comments as well as web links and images. Many people keep a blog as a type of personal creative exercise, but you can easily use this popular online type of writing to market your business. Blogs are very popular right now and they can be a great and inexpensive way to contact more customers.

The great thing about blogs is that people read them for fun. Customers may be becoming more jaded about advertising, but they will gladly read a blog that has some interesting things to say. Many top companies are using blogs to deliver a better and more personal message about their companies - and the strategy seems to be working.

Starting a Blog

Starting a blog is as simple as finding a space online to write - and the time to write. To begin a blog, first develop a theme idea or blog idea. You may want to look at other people’s blogs to do so. In general, you will want to develop a central theme for your blog in the same way that columnists develop a theme for their articles. This helps ensure that your blog is not too “scattered.”

Next, find some place to publish your blog. There are a number of sites - both paying and free - that give bloggers a chance to publish their material. You may also want to simply set up your blog on your web site, especially if you already have an active web site.

Writing Your Blog

Once you have a place to publish your blog, you will have to set aside some time each week to develop new content. When writing your blog:

Write simply and clearly. Use small paragraphs and spell check before uploading. Your readers will trust what you have to say if you say it well.

Go easy on the advertising. The idea of a blog is to give readers something fun and exciting to read and look at. You will have more readers if you comment on the world and are entertaining, rather than just hype your product. Consider writing about your day, the atmosphere your workplace has, and culture, rather than just your company.

Consider many types of content. Blogs allow you to upload images, create links, and allow users to make comments. Your blog will have many more readers if you make your blog exciting with these pluses.

Promoting Your Blog

Just putting your blog online is not enough. After all, there are many millions of blogs on the web right now, so unless your blog is on a high-traffic site, you may not get readers unless you advertise. You can easily advertise your blog without spending a cent by mentioning your blog in your emails and web pages or newsletters. You can also enter in online competitions - if your blog wins a prize you are more likely to get a constant flow of traffic to your blog. You can also ask ezines and other content providers to review your blog, which will also draw readers.

Blog Marketing Ideas That Sell

Once you develop a blog, you will want to use the best blog marketing strategies you can to sell your company. However, marketing blogs are different from personal blogs and blog marketing or advertising is very different than other forms of marketing.

Make Your Blog a Customer Draw

In order to make your blog a powerful marketing tool, you need to get your customers and clients to see it. That means that you will need to advertise and provide content that gets attention:

Make your blog visually exciting. Choose an attractive background colour and provide photos or images. Consider sound. Develop your blog as you would a web site, with the same visual appeal. Some bloggers even add video and sound to their blogs. There is no need to spend many hours composing art works, but know that simple text on a white background may simply not draw as many readers as you like.

Make sure that your customers know that your blog exists. Providing some targeted advertising on the Internet is not hard. Try some link exchange programs with web sites, blogs, and ezines that have similar content to your blog. In many cases, simply providing a link to another web site can convince that web master to provide a link to your blog.

Make Your Blog a Company Pusher - Without Being Pushy

Your blog needs to promote your company. However, if you are too heavy-handed, you will not be terribly exciting and may push customers away. That’s why you should aim for only a small amount of content that actively pushes your company. Do suggest newsworthy items that will lure your readers in. For example, writing “today we launched a new division - now expecting mothers can take advantage of our fashions” is much better than sales copy such as “buy our hot new maternity fashions now.”

Give Your Readers What They Want

Studies suggest that as many as a quarter of Internet users tune into blogs. That means that if you can give your blog readers what they want, you can be reasonably sure of having a decent audience. Among the content that you may want to include in your blog:

Tips and advice. Many successful marketing blogs are much like successful consumer magazines - readers tune in to read content that is useful. A computer company can offer computer tips and advice, for example, while a writing service blog can include daily ways to boost writing skills.

Interest. If your personal or business life is fascinating, then great. There are many successful marketing blogs that detail the exciting lives of company presidents who are also hobby racecar drivers or skydivers. This sort of material can ensure a steady audience.

Humanity. One of the things that blog readers are most interested to see is the face behind the company. Many blog readers like a company run by people who have similar concerns. Building humanity into your blog by detailing your company’s efforts to help the community, for example, is a great way to build credibility and customer loyalty.

Style. Many readers just love to see a gorgeous, well-written blog. Plenty of marketing blogs simply provide interesting content and nice graphics and do quite well in drawing readers and customers.

Get More Readers for Your Blog, Get More Customers

There are several ways to make your blog one of the “hot” blogs online. Traditionally, those companies that have the largest star-power have had the most popular blogs, since everyone loves to read about celebrity or success. However, a great many smaller companies and individuals are developing large followings on the web. You can, too, with this simple lesson.

Keep it Rich

Keyword-rich, that is. Blogs are a great way to generate keyword-rich content, especially if you update your blogs each day. In fact, for some smaller businesses, blogs make more sense than hard-to-create web pages. Blog software makes creating a blog almost automatic while the spiders on search engines seem to favour high-quality and often updated keyword-rich blogs.

Steps to take:

Keep keyword content high with plenty of keywords. As you write your blog entries, do try to use not only keywords having to do with your topic, but also synonyms for your keywords. This will help your readers find you more easily on the Internet. For example, if you offer discount fashions, use a variety of keywords, including “discount fashions,” “cheap designer wear,” “discount clothing” and others.

Provide quality, often-updated content.

Specialize. The best way to make use of the search engine optimisation of blogs is to narrow your focus. Rather than developing a hodgepodge of ideas and themes, write with one theme in mind. It will help ensure that people looking for information on your topic will always find you through a search engine.

Join the Community

Make sure that you promote your blog by joining the blogging community. Creating a larger presence for your blog online will result in more blog readers and possibly, more customers:

Add the address for your blog to email signatures and include mention in any ezine or email newsletter you have to let readers know about your blog.

Mention your blog on appropriate forums. For example, if your company offers resume writing services, consider writing about your blog in job-hunt forums.

Allow for readers’ commentary on your blog. Many online blog publishing programs already allow this. If your readers can post their comments and read the comments of other readers, they are more likely to return to your blog regularly, and so keep your company name in mind.

Make your blog searchable through your interests. Many blog programs allow you to create a user profile, which allows readers to search for you and your blog by interest topic and locations, in many cases. Do not overlook this simple way to draw readers. Simply fill out your profile, taking care to use many “interests” to attract more readers and browsers.

The Best Internet Marketing “Investment” You Will Ever Make In Your Business

I do a lot of consulting for people in Internet marketing and selling online.

And one of the most asked questions I get is what is the single best investment someone can make for their Internet marketing business.

Is it a good web host? A good html editor? A good auto-responder? A good web designer? What?

My answer:

The single wisest investment you can make for your Internet marketing business is a good copywriter.
?If you sell anything online then, trust me, you have to find an expert on copywriting. You hire the best. It’ll pay you back multiple times what you pay.

In fact, I can’t think of a better thing to invest my money in. I never skimp on this part, ever.

Why?

Because you can have the best product in the world, the most beautifully designed website in the world, have a bigger budget than any of your competitors…but if you put up a terribly created sales letter, you’re dead in the water.

No amount of technology will save you, no amount of money will save you, no “brand name” will save you (at least not in the long run).

So the bottom line is this:

If you want a thriving Internet Marketing business…invest in good copy. If you can’t afford a good copywriter then start learning how to do it yourself. It’s the single most important part of the business. And will pay you over and over and over again, for years into the future.
